A wise Turkish proverb to bear in mind at the start of any week, task or  journey!

Dereyi görmeden pacalari sıvama.
Do not roll up your trousers before reaching the stream.

This saying is used to make a point that one should not be overly eager and optimistic about an outcome. False expectations can quickly lead to disappointment and furthermore, those metaphorically walking around with rolled up trousers may end up looking slightly foolish.

The view is of the Pontic Mountains in the North-Eastern part of Turkey in the region of Anatolia. The mountains reach a height of almost 4000 metres.
