It depends on when you opened the account as well. 2018 was not a great year for the market despite the large upswing since our last major recession in 2008/2009.

The automatic savings game has been changing dramatically over the last year. Check out this list for ideas: Automatic Savings Apps.

Just doing round ups, nothing special I was able to save almost $1200 in a year! Now, that I haven’t been able to link my PNC account since the summer, I’ve saved a whole $28. I’m so disappointed because I keep getting the same run around from customer service reps about how “they are working diligently to resolve this.” Well, here it is January 2020 and still the same answer just from a different rep. Is there any other app out there that does at least round up savings?

You saved an incredible 33,000 in 2 years?? This is amazing to say the least, how much did you gain for that amt? And what has happened since you posted?
